I surprised my bestfriend with this place for her birthday and it did not disappoint. Although it is on the pricey side It is high end cuisine that is absolutely worth it. Each contemporary dish was so flavourful and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed every bit of what we got. Our favourite was the fried chicken and the Lamb ribs!! Our waiter was also super nice and helpful!! I`m glad I reserved before hand and was able to surprise my beautiful bestie with this awesome place!!

Excellent service and top quality Israeli dishes. We had some serious spice in our mostly vegetarian meal and was blown away at the creaminess of the textures and freshness of the vegetables. Think they were treated with citrus and olive oil. Trust the servers, they know the food well and gave us advice on combinations that would allow us to try more new things (my friend and I knew little about this style of cuisine). Cocktails also amazing. One of my favorite places in Toronto.

Very good, went without a reservation knowing they were all booked so not sure if we would get in. They went out of there way to keep us posted about the bar area and ended up getting us a table. The waitress was very friendly, helpful with her suggestions and ensuring that our allergies were accounted for. Food was delicious!! Highly recommend the lamb shoulder and dumplings.

I have come back 3 times now, and will continue returning. Hands down best mediterranean/middle eastern food in the city, their service is absolutely exceptional, the ambiance is pleasant, the prices are very reasonable. Would recommend the steak tartare!!

Great middle eastern food recreated with perfection while preserving its authentic characteristics. I thought the chef would be Syrian but was actually Australian. The place was fully booked, yet they arranged a nice corner Omar the bar for our group of 5. The manti dumplings are a must have. Don’t miss out on their selection of cocktails that has an eastern spin. Be prepared for a high bill.

Overall beautiful atmosphere, amazing food & drinks. Service was outstanding, hostess was polite & punctual while our server really made our experience special. Would definitely recommend dining here and can't wait to return!

This is my favourite restaurant in Toronto, the food is delicious and the ambiance is great. The best dish in my opinion is the truffle rice. This is a must every time I go. I highly recommend this dish!!! Just remember to make a reservation before, gets booked up very fast

The food is delicious, great atmosphere and excellent service. I've been to Byblos several times and have never been disappointed. You will most likely need to make a reservation at least a few days to a week in advance.

Visited this for our anniversary and loved it! The saffron rice is a must, and the whole grilled Branzino was incredible. Fantastic well balanced cocktails and a great wine selection too. Highly recommended their smoked old fashioned.

If you want to have some succulent olives and a well-made martini, Byblos. If you want to have an array of flavourful share plates, Byblos. If you want to impress a date, Byblos. Need more places like this in Toronto.

Went late on a Wednesday for hubby's birthday. Our server was super accommodating, offering us a more spacious table right off the bat.We ordered the cold tea service, a citrusy mint gin concoction which went perfectly with everything and was super refreshing.Almond and olives to start followed soon by steak tartar which had a lovely flavor profile and a larger dice on the meat giving something to sink your teeth into! Accompanying bread a little heavy on the toast but didn't spoil the flavors and was topped with a hazelnut sesame crumble. For main course we shared the lamb shoulder for 2, boneless meat seasoned perfectly and paired with a myriad of sauces and pickled veg to make your own little wraps. We also had the fennel salad to go with it, really fresh lively flavors paired great with the lamb. Mint ice cream baklava to finish, which was nice and light, though i wish i had taken my servers advice on dessert..Hope to return at some point!

We had the Mejadra rice, brussel sprouts, salmon and the dumplings. Amazing flavor and presentation. Between the two of us i think this was slightly more but we are glad we tried them all. We also had the stuffed baklava for dessert. That truly was the icing. Must try!

Went here for a business meeting and had an amazing time! My clients and I sat at the bar and ordered food. The servers and bartenders were all so friendly and helpful with their recommendations.The food was also fantastic! I cannot wait to go back and try the other items on the menu.

The food tasted delicious. I had the slow braised lamb and the jeweled rice. It was very flavoured and tender. Byblos had persian, Turkish and Lebanese inspired food. For appetizers I had the manti dumplings and didnt really enjoy the taste as it was a bit sour. But I did enjoy the humus and bread. The portion sizes are a bit small. I'm giving it a four stars because of the cooks behind the counter. I liked how we can see them and you feel involved. But at the time there were two gentleman and they were not hygienic. They were touching their faces while preparing the food and one of the guys ate something from the salad he was making. I would expect them to be more careful especially during this time. They did not wash their hands or have any gloves. I was a bit surprised and concerned how my main dishes were cooked as the main dishes were made in the back. I'm not sure if I would be coming back.

I'd be in love with this place if i was a vegetarian. Lots of fantastic and unique flavours across many dishes, however the execution on the meat and seafood was entirely underwhelming. I tried approx 9 dishes and 2/3 of the meat-based dishes i tried were poorly done, lacking what seemed like rudimentary technique. Nonetheless, the setting, location and atmosphere were great, and service was top notch (very attentive, knowledgable, and pleasant). Prices are quite high, so I'd give this place 3.5 stars. Given the amount paid, I'd expect every single dish to be at the very least average, (a couple of which were below the mark). Would not return.

Food was okay, not really my favourite type of food. The place was full on a Saturday night. I do love lamb, however the style of cooking it for hours, leaves it with less taste. The service is where this place really shines. The waitress was top notch.

One of the best restaurants in the city! The food is amazing, you can taste the love and preparation that goes into it. Unique flavors, but they work so wonderfully together. Definitely a place you need to check out if you're a foodie. Have to try the sweet rice, to die for. Food portions aren't big, the idea is you order a bunch of dishes and share with your party... which I prefer, who doesn't love trying a variety of food! Atmosphere is nice, nothing that really stood out. Would have liked to see some stand out pieces/furnishings but not deal breaking. Service is exceptional, what you expect from a high end establishment. Servers make great recommendations as to what to what dishes work well with each other and how many dishes to order. Ive already been here twice and will definitely return again.

Mediterranean and middle eastern tapas. Go with a group or on a date, you really can't go wrong, just make sure to make a reservation or you'll be waiting a while. The service is great and quick. Highly recommended, but expect a higher price point.

This place has my heart. I love the food so much and it is a favourite for me in Toronto! This is a go-to for work event dinners of larger parties and I wow our teams time and time again. The shared tasting menu is amazing, and I would recommend everything served! The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well. Cannot wait to eat here again!

Delicious food, salad was best, washroom was destroyed. It looked like a washroom at playdium. However they responded pretty quick after I let them know. I know it's the patrons who messed it up, that's another story, but washroom condition should be high on any fine dining experience.

I’ve always had this restaurant in my list to go to. Was served by Ali and Ali was a great help with the menu, he suggested me to start with the Turkish manti dumplings and it was one of the best appetizers I’ve ever tried. I also tried the stuffed baklava as a desert and it was a great desert. I wasn’t a fan of the roasted lamb shoulder for two in the dinner menu I think it could improve.

This place is very lovely, very busy because it's near the theatres. Food are delish, a very high end place... We ordered almost all the desserts on the menu. Highly recommended.Service can be a little faster, maybe more servers on the floor.

Service was great. Great for date night. Portions were small and expensive. Fried chicken was good, the hot sauce is really spicy so be careful. Lentil and crispy shallot Rice was good. The pita that came with the mtaabal was great, it was soft but crispy. I just wished some of the food was more flavourful.

They have the BEST food. There was no wait, only one other group in the restaurant so it was nice and peaceful. They also make fresh, raw juice! They have the cutest little vegan desserts, which by the way, are fantastic. The atmosphere is so homey and coffee shop-ish. I love it. They have bean bags and super cute decor!

Byblos was amazing!! The food was delicious, and our server Nancy was great. The dinner was pricey for sure, but I would recommend it for a great dining experience. Each dish was unique and very flavorful.

I would definitely suggest making reservations for Byblos. They serve Eastern Mediterranean food and it is spectacular (I can see why they are a top restaurant in the city) ! I went to the location downtown for dinner on a Friday evening and luckily got a spot at the bar. It's a two story dimly lit restaurant, that makes you feel like you've walked into another world. It's calm feeling is definitely a contrast to the club district around the area. I'm a huge fan of octopus and highly recommend trying theirs - it was super tasty! I was also a fan of the pistachio ice cream as a dessert.. yummm!

Delicious food, great location, and a lovely ambiance. There are almost too many options, and the sharing-plate structure can be daunting. We listened to our server and were happy we did. 3 ppl with 2 bottles of wine and dessert came to $350, expected for the area.

One of the absolute best culinary experiences of my life. We had the hummus royale, octopus, truffle pide, lamb shoulder fried chicken and the rice with the almonds. Stuffed baklava for dessert and all of it was amazing. Staff was attentive and had great recommendations. Good wine list too. A MUST!

There is no mistaking this place catches your eye but the menu unlike many traditional Mediterranean inspired resos across our city this one is not seasonal. You can get the same dishes among other identical resos without the twists and turns of the inflated menu price. Now the food in is own is not shy on seasoning. There is definitely some thought that goes into the dishes here reflecting many I have seen over seas. New ideas might help the menu if the experience is there among the line chefs. The spotless appearance it a must for many local Instagramers. All in all you can tell this place is marked up for the meal you'll be spending for here. If you are showy head on over for a splurge!

My gf would probably rate this a 5/5 but for me, it's more of a 4/5. She absolutely loves the green juice cocktail they make here and to be honest, I have not seen it anywhere else. Some of the dishes could be slightly more flavourful. Asides from that, the service is good and the ambiance is nice

We were 10 people and did the attached menu. All of us loved it. It is as a great food and great service. They different menu $$$ so check the website, but don’t forget to have the ribs, steak and rice 😍😍😍 over we very more than we expected.

Everything tastes very fresh and delightful! Good combo of flavors, I really like the truffle rice. Portions are a little smaller though.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. The dinner I had here with some work colleagues was nothing short of spectacular. The flavours, colours and textures were complex and perfectly balanced. I loved every bite of every dish.

A trendy restaurant near entertainment district with fancy decor. Get ready to spend some money as this place isn't cheap. The food portions aren't huge but the flavours definitely make up for it. Every bite is savoury and makes you want more. Some of the best food I have eaten. I would recommend it to others but not somewhere I would go all the time because of the price.

Wow wow wow. This place blew me away. My girlfriend just happened to stumble upon it because we were in the area and we will definitely be coming back. A lot. The fried chicken is amazing, their beef is so tender and flavorful. Great selection of apps and sides too. Can’t wait to come back

The place is very comfortable. We had a group of 16 people visiting today and all had different food preferences, and the server was really nice and considerate. Big thumbs up!!

Food was tasty, but I could tell the food quality was slipping to a degree. Tasty mocktail with Turkish coffee! Great alternative to a dark alcohol drink. Great date night spot for two! Server was slightly condescending, so it ruined a bit of the vibe, otherwise, I’d go back and give it another try.

Byblos has a lovely look and feel and I would recommend this spot for a date night or a higher class spot with friends. The dumplings are delicious and I would definitely recommend. Their pide was also lovely. I wasn’t crazy about the fried couscous it was flavorless in my opinion. Cocktails are delicious but overpriced for the quantity. And the dessert was nice (we ordered the ice cream sandwich one) but it didn’t blow me away. Overall the restaurant is one I would recommend for special occasions and I would like to come back again.

I went to the uptown location a few weeks ago and I thought everything from the food to the service was stellar. I had a friend coming to town who's staying downtown and convinced a group of four to come to this location. I was so disappointed.For example, I was so impressed with the branzino I had at the uptown location which was fresh and flavourful. Told everyone it was amazing. At this location I was served a mushy overcooked fish that felt that had been frozen. Same consistency of a fish stick. Service, while pleasant, was subpar. We got cocktails to start and we had all finished them and no one came to either remove them or offer some more drinks. I had to hunt down our server to get a glass of wine. I had my glass and was waiting for a refill that never came. Also they kept interrupting our conversation multiple times, even in the middle of a toast. It did seem like it was a busy night, but there were plenty of servers including two hostesses.

The decor is nice. The atmosphere is great. The food is pretty delicious. The customer service is up to the mark.

First time visiting this spot, decor is beautiful and the food is even better. I had the salmon and a bottle of wine was split amongst the group. Service was exceptional and we had a great time!! Will make sure to visit again in the future.

Our table ordered 12 dishes and they were all fantastic. Octopus was great. Braised lamb was phenomenal and we'll seasoned. Eggplant is wonderfully spiced and cooked in a way haters of eggplant would still enjoy it. Server was absolutely professional and very helpful and easy to understand in a loud environment.
